In response to noise level regulations and demands from the trade for a level control unit which will work with any audio system, Formula Sound have designed the AVC2.

The AVC2 performs as an intelligent volume control and in operation is very simple. If the average operating level is kept below the internally set threshold, the AVC2 has no effect. If the average programme level exceeds the threshold the unit will reduce its output level. The level is reduced in discreet steps indicated by the l.e.d. bar graph meter on the front panel of the unit. The action of the AVC2 is to fade between these steps and is almost undetectable in use. The more one tries to increase the volume, the more the AVC2 will decrease it so that the system will barely change in perceived level. If driven to maximum attenuation, the output level will be reduced by more than the increase in input level. The mixer or pre amp feeding the AVC2 will probably be clipping, but the system will actually be at a lower than normal level. A clip indicator is provided to show when the input stage of the AVC2 is being over driven. Reducing the input level will gently release the attenuation provided by the AVC2.

The T8 is a high quality totally passive audio interface that uses a 8 high performance transformers to totally separate input and output signal grounds, thereby isolating two systems and reducing hum and ground-loop noise. The T8s audio transformers have an extremely flat and wide frequency response and can handle high signal levels while maintaining an isolated balanced output. This gives the T8 a very clean and neutral sound with a wide variety of signal sources. The transformers are wound for 1:1 unity gain and are designed to be used with impedances from 600 Ohms to 100k Ohms.

What further sets the T8 apart from other lesser isolation boxes is its connection versatility. We have provided XLR, 1/4” phono, and RCA type phono connections on all inputs and outputs. This allows it to easily fit into virtually any audio system and be the clean patch point between all types of systems. The T8s mounting ears are reversible so you can have either the XLRs on the front or The 1/4” and RCA phono jacks on the front. This maximizes flexibility in cabling your system.

Whether you need an interface between a computer based audio workstation and your monitor system, isolation on long cable runs in a fixed installation, isolation of multiple signal sources from your recording equipment, or in many cases, just a safer connection between two audio systems, the T8 can accommodate.

The 19” 1U high black all steel case and it’s passive design allow the T8 to provide years of trouble free service in Live Sound, Permanent/Fixed Install, D.J., and virtually any PA application. It’s full feature set, rugged construction, and high-end specifications make the T8 the obvious choice.

The RLA/2 Ribbon Line Array is a state of the art compact speaker system designed for medium to small venues. Its light weight (56 lbs) and small size along with the convenient rigging make it perfect for permanent installations, corporate events, or anywhere a large imposing speaker system is prohibited.

Each LS8800 module of the RLA/2 Ribbon Line Array contains two 8-inch high-powered, woofers and our PRD1000 proprietary Push-Pull Neodymium Ribbon driver. Our planar ribbon has extremely high output that is evenly distributed over its entire radiating surface. It presents a coherent wave front that is ideal for sound energy transfer and the ribbon's geometry allows us to create a virtually continuous line source. System performance can be predicted by our LASS CAD modeling program.

Due to the interchangeable rigging system, LS8800s can be flown above, below or beside LS8115 15" Sub Modules to facilitate a larger setup for use in outdoor festival environments.

For over 30 years, Furman has pioneered the development of AC power products for the most demanding audio, video, and broadcast professionals. Furman’s Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus (SMP+) delivers the purest AC power and the most comprehensive protection available – going far beyond what is found in traditional surge strips. With Furman’s AC-215, everyone can reap the benefits of unrivaled power purification and unequalled surge protection.
Today’s overworked, outdated power grid delivers poor quality AC power. When connecting sensitive equipment to regular power outlets, AC noise masks and distorts critical signal information which cripples performance. This is why it’s more important than ever to purify or clean the AC powering your sensitive audio/video equipment Furman’s SMP+ circuit incorporates Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT) to insure that flat screen televisions, projectors, processors, or any sensitive audio/video components are fed linearly-filtered AC power. This dramatically reduces noise, ensuring consistent, peak performance from your equipment.
Typical AC filters feature non-linear circuits. Though these multiple stage filters or power cleaners reduce some noise, they do so unevenly. In fact, they can add noise to your power line due to their filter’s excessive resonant peaking. With Furman’s proprietary Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), AC noise is suppressed evenly, assuring maximum performance from your system.
Additionally, today’s power grid commonly experiences numerous electrical surges and spikes on a daily basis. At best, these irregularities can degrade your equipment’s performance, and, at worst, can severely damage your entire system. Furman’s SMP+ with LiFT, EVS and TVZ MOV offers the highest degree of protection available without sacrificing itself or any of its components.
Another feature that is unique to Furman’s SMP+ circuit is automatic extreme-voltage shutdown. Extreme voltages are statistically the most common, damaging AC event. The extreme-voltage shutdown circuit automatically turns off the AC-215 when it is fed 137 (270 VAC for “E” version) volts or higher, protecting itself and connected equipment from the extreme voltage. Only Furman offers this degree of protection!
Conventional AC conditioners employing older technologies leak voltage to circuit ground which can, in fact, aid in damaging sensitive digital circuits such as computer processors. Furman’s new technology, however, never directs voltage to the circuit ground further ensuring the safety of your equipment.
This compact unit includes hardware for easy installation. It’s ideal for mounting directly onto the back of a plasma or LCD screen, but works in any application where discretely-located, remote power purification and protection are needed.
